Message – There’s a song I found on youTube this morning by Matt Redman called ‘You never let go’. It talks about even though we walk through the valley of the shadow of death, even though we go through the storms of life, which we are facing personally and as a nation God never lets us go. Friends we are facing unrepresented times, some of us are in shock, some of us will react with anger, anger at the greed, the selfishness, the impotence of this situation and want to react in all sort of ways, some familiar to you and some in ways that you don’t recognise. I urge you to stop, pause, call upon the power of the Holy Spirit to enter you, to calm your fears, to let prayer be your companion, scripture be your torch, to allow patience, kindness, compassion to shine from you. We will get through this together by drawing closer to God with Him as our guide. Remember friends he will ‘Never let us go’ through this storm. Hold on, for this too will pass. Rev Kate.
